Once there was a different country run by mice, who had replaced their cat rulers. They took the country, and they ran it for a while, but a cat, cleverly disguised as a mouse snuck in, killed and ate a few select mice, took over and ran the country back into the ground, the same way the cats had been doing originally.

Then, in the other country of mice, the ruling cats pointed to the second country and said, this is the result of mouse leadership! Never can we let mice run our country! Cat rule is the only way, and mouse leadership leads to horrors, always vote cat! And so most mice did, frightened and uniformed of the cause of the other countries troubles, and so they resigned themselves to their fate.
